Lost and Found sketch

In class today (Impressionism/Post Impressionism) we looked at edges.  One of the most important aspects of a painting is the way one object sits against the next in your picture.  We are attempting to work fast but be mindful of having a wide variety of edges to hold the viewer’s interest, including “lost and found” edges.  My students “got it”!  We only had 1/2 hour to grab small objects and compose with our brush; no time to waste!  My result:
